Inspired by Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Roberta Hayashi, Karen Korematsu, and Civil Rights Attorney Dale Minami, Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Johnny Cepeda Gogo obtained  WWII era, 48-star, American flags with the goal of inviting ALL Japanese Americans who were incarcerated to sign the flag. Judge Gogo has visited Japanese American communities throughout the country as well as the locations of the WWII WRA camp sites to honor the memory of all who were incarcerated unjustly. The flag-signing tour will culminate in the donation of the flags signed by camp survivors to the Japanese American Museum of San Jose and the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles. Don’t miss your chance to sign Judge Gogo’s flags during his tour stop in San Francisco and to meet Judge Gogo in person!

Time slots are limited to five minutes per person. Due to Covid-19, we are requesting that only persons who sign up enter the facility to keep social distancing in mind. You may bring one person if assistance is needed. WWII camp survivors only please. Register for time slot to sign at https://bit.ly/flagsigningoct1721
