Sawako will share basic and essential techniques of Japanese tsukemono pickling and fermentation so students will be able to make authentic dishes at home. This class will be taught mainly in English and with some Japanese. Students will learn basic Japanese cooking terms and common practices behind each dish. All ingredients and supplies provided; students will take home filled jars of kimchi and tsukemono pickles to complete the fermentation process at home.
