Join Ito Yosakoi as we learn yosakoi together online on Zoom. Yosakoi is an energetic dance style from Kochi, Japan, that combines traditional dance movements with modern music. This is co-hosted with the Berkeley Buddhist Temple.

For this workshop, we will learn the beginning parts of  “「HEY ∞ WA!〜 For you and me 〜” or “HeyWa” for short. HeyWa was choreographed by a group called “YOSAKOI 8” and the music was composed by Furachinarhythm. It is a gift to yosakoi lovers around the world so that we don’t lose out to COVID-19 and that we all continue looking forward to a bright new tomorrow. You can preview the dance at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6STWmDzpHm0
