School Visits at JCCCNC
As an opportunity for JCCCNC to preserve and cultivate interest
in Japanese American culture and traditions, we offer school visits
to San Francisco Elementary Schools as part of our celebration
of Children’s Day and to other Bay Area schools during the
year.
Visit the JCCCNC and SF Japantown
JCCCNC offers day-visits to visit our center, the surrounding
community and can customize a visit to share with students how to
make crafts, learn the basics of taiko, odori and sushi making,
organize lectures about the Japanese American Internment and coordinate
visits to other community organizations.* Students will learn about
a broad range of topics and get a taste of the community and its
history.
For more information or to make a reservation please call us at (415) 567-5505 or email programsevents@jcccnc.org.
* Fees/honorariums are paid for some visits.
