Greet the New Day: Body Toning
Workout
Tues 8:00-9:15 a.m.
Instructor: Denise Teraoka
A light, brisk refreshing body toning class designed to
give the body a workout without being a real sweaty experience.
Aimed at reducing stress, risk of heart disease and hypertension.
Assists in retention of bone and muscle mass through strength
training. Includes stretching, breathing, relaxation, and
strength training exercises.
Bring a towel to refresh yourself and a small mat or blanket
to lie on.
Member Fees: $8/session; $28/month
Non-member Fees: $10/session; $36/month

Kendo Dojo invites you to challenge yourself practicing
the art of Kendo.In Japanese, Kendo means 'the way of the
sword'. It refers to the art of traditional Japanese fencing
that was originally developed and practiced by Bushi or Samurai.

Pilates Mat Class
Mondays 7:00-8:00 p.m.
Instructor: Shana Okuda
This class is for beginners who would like to learn the basics of Pilates. This class focuses on strengthening your smaller muscles as well as increasing your flexibility.
Uniform development is highly emphasized as a goal of Pilates. Development of smaller muscles lends more strength to larger muscles. Joseph H. Pilates stressed the importance of only a few repetitions with constantly changing movements intended to work the whole body.
Please bring a yoga mat or two beach towels.
About the instructor: Shana Okuda is a newly minted Pilates instructor who is studying with the Sanchez Street Studio. Shana has been practicing B.K.S. Iyengar hatha yoga for 16 years and Bikram’s hatha yoga sequence for
six years.

Relax and Renew
Thurs 1:00-2:00 p.m.
Instructor: Atsuko Sells
Relax and Renew is a gentle, meditative form of relaxation and stress reduction. Small, dance-like movements include meditation, Qi Gong, and self-healing techniques, accompanied by lyrical, peaceful music. Develop mind/body awareness and renew your spirit in an accepting, friendly atmosphere.
Open to all levels; beginners welcome. Loose, comfortable clothing recommended.
