Movement in Paper: The Evolving Form of Origami
May 1 – July 15, 2014
The Art Gallery at Cesar Chavez Student Union
San Francisco State University
“Movement in Paper” pushes the edges of origami with shapes that delight and inspire design, innovation, and interaction. The collection brings together local Bay Area and international origami artists who create modern sculpture and inventive forms from paper. Try your hand at folding, experience a cultural art from Japan, and be amazed by the many dimensions of modern origami.
Presented by the Dilena Takeyama Center for the Study of Japan and Japanese Culture, The Art Gallery at Cesar Chavez Student Union and the Richard Oakes Multicultural Center.
