JCCCNC's Annual Nikkei Open Golf Tournament
Since 1994, JCCCNC has hosted an annual golf tournament in early summer. Proceeds from the annual golf tournament support the vitality of programs and services of the JCCCNC.
17th Annual Nikkei Open Golf Tournament

On a beautiful July 18 day, 106 golfers arrived at the Peninsula Golf and Country Club to play in the 17th Annual Nikkei Open Golf Tournament.
On the course, players were given three opportunities at par three holes numbers 7, 12 and 15 to win $10,000 with a hole-in-one (donated by Moriwaki, Imai & Fujita, Inc., Osaki Creative Design Group and T. Okamoto and Co.). On the par three hole number 4, players had a chance for a closest-to-the-pin cash prize of $490, which was taken home by Rob Kawamura with tee shot sticking only 3 feet 1 inch from the hole. Players were also treated to complimentary beverages (donated by Dr. Craig Yonemura), Hukilau Punch (donated by Hukilau Restaurant), cigars (donated by Rodney Suzuki and MassMutual Financial Group, San Francisco) and a chance to try out a Nakashima drive on the long drive contest hole number 10.
Off the course, players enjoyed a free tee prize and lunch, free Nakashima Golf club fittings, raffle giveaways, a large BBQ dinner spread and a delightful program emceed by JCCCNC Board President, Ms. Dianne Fukami.

2009 Nikkei Open
It was a perfect day at the Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City on Monday, July 13, 2009. 81 golfers from the Bay Area competed in the scramble play/blind bogey scoring format for low gross score foursome, blind bogey, closest to the pin and longest drive (men's and women's).
Official results for this year are as follows:
The low gross score winning foursome was Fred Ficklin, Justin Fong, Ken Fong and Gen Yasuda.
The blind bogey (adjusted gross score) winning foursome was Darren Hiatt, Bob Hamaguchi, Kristi Hamaguchi and Scott Hamaguchi.
 
Closest to the Pin Winners: Hole 3 Bob Koshiyama (3 feet 6 inches) and Hole 8 Lance Wong (5 feet). Long Drive winners were Scott Hamaguchi (men’s division) and Lisa Mizono (women’s division).
2007 Nikkei Open
It was a fabulous day at the San Ramon Golf Club on Thursday, June 28, 2007. There were 90 participants in five flights competing for top flight prizes, hole-in-one opportunities and the putting championship, all while enjoying the warm, sunny day and supporting the programs and services of the JCCCNC.
Players were placed in four indexed flights-Championship, Men's, Women's and Seniors, as well as a Callaway flight for non-indexed golfers.
The day ended with a delicious buffet dinner, reception and raffle, emceed by NBC11 weatherman, Rob Mayeda. All participants were treated to a bag of Kokuho Rice generously donated by Nomura and Company.

2006 Nikkei Open
Last year , the 12th Annual JCCCNC Nikkei Open Golf Tournament was held on Thursday, June 22, 2006, at the StoneTree Golf Club in Novato. There were prizes for indexed flight winners, great raffle prizes, and $10,000 hole-in-one prizes.
