In our Washi Ningyo (Japanese paper doll) workshops you will learn how to transform traditional Japanese washi paper into your own beautiful 3-D dolls. Participants will receive a kit that will include all the materials you need to complete your doll. These hand crafted figures make great gifts for many occasions or to display around your home or office.  In the workshop you will:

  • Learn how to make a face from a little cotton and thin rice paper
  • Learn how to assemble the key parts of a figure such as the face and hair
  • Learn how to fold kimono paper and make an Obi (sash)

Please note that these classes are intended for adults and are not suitable for children.
