Participants must be 21 or older and provide their own alcohol.

Come learn how to infuse Japanese ume plums to make your own umeshu (Japanese plum liqueur). Ume plums are in season for a short time in mid-spring, which is the perfect time for making umeshu! We will provide workshop participants with 1/2 gallon jars and ingredients, including ume plums picked directly from the Kawabata family garden. Participants must be 21+ and must provide their own alcohol for the workshop; vodka or sochu/soju are recommended, although any liquor with 35% alcohol by volume can be used.
