Traditionally crafted as children’s toys, temari throughout history have also served as ornamental gifts for Japanese nobility. Our class dates feature 3 sessions, one for intermediate crafters, a session specifically for creating the mari ball base, and also an introduction session for absolute beginners.

Temari Techniques Class (9:15am – 12:15am)

This class is appropriate for students who have taken the Introduction to Temari class or for participants who have some previous temari experience.  Each class session focuses on a particular stitch or technique and will be different each class.  Participants should not expect to complete their temari by the end of the three hour class but are welcome to stay longer to continue to work and ask any questions.  Participants will be able to apply the skills learned at the class to finish their temari at home.
