SAN FRANCISCO - “Our community, our future,” is the theme for JCCCNC’s 30th Anniversary Community Celebration Day on Saturday, September 20, 2003, 3:00pm to be held at JCCCNC, 1840 Sutter Street, San Francisco.

“Thirty years is a milestone for our organization,” said Paul Osaki, JCCCNC Executive Director. “We want to celebrate it with our families and friends in the community who have contributed to our past successes. For this reason, we decided to host the community celebration, free of charge, at the JCCCNC in San Francisco’s Japantown.”

Co-Chairs of the JCCCNC 30th Anniversary Community Celebration Day, Yo Hironaka and Carole Hayashino, added that in addition to acknowledging past JCCCNC founders and board members, the celebration will dedicate a plaque honoring the late Yori Wada for his vision and leadership to build the community center. Mr. Wada was Chairperson of JCCCNC’s Vision 80s Campaign and served with Senator Dianne Feinstein, as Honorary Co-Chair of JCCCNC’s Capital Campaign.

In addition to the brief program to be held in the Nisei Community Hall, free entertainment by program participants, children’s activities, art displays, historical exhibits, and silent auction, will fill the entire community center. Free food and drinks will also be served.
